Students from Thailand

This week we have been lucky enough to have 2 visits from a group of High School students from Thailand.  Thailand is a country in Asia with over 65 million people.  It is next to Cambodia. The first time they came was on Wednesday and they taught us a traditional game on the court.  We taught them how to play Octopus too.


They came back to school on Friday to show us some dances and also to show us their Muay Thai kick boxing.

    Did you know that a century ago there were 100,000 elephants in the country, now there are just an estimated 2,000 left in the wild.

We didn't know that was the longest place name Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu is the longest place name without spaces - it is a place in New Zealand. What ways does your student from Thailand say New Zealand is different? Have you learnt any Thai games?

    Hi room 7 it is Victoria here, it was fun dancing when I went up there. Did you have fun? Did you think there dancing was hard or easy?.

      Hi Victoria, all the people who went up the front to dance did a great job. It was hard work getting your hands turned on the same angle as the students and it was hard to look as graceful as they did.
