We have been involved in writing some poems. This is for the Get New Zealand Writing programme. Our writing will get sent to a school in Hamilton. We have been using the note.ly app to help us organise our work. Here are some examples of our work.
Nicola I've never seen this programme before. It looks really supportive of both a reading and writing programme, specifically in terms of building vocabulary. Wow! It's also so wonderful to see you collaborating by joining a programme that encourages sharing between schools. Learn, create, share in action. So impressed! How do you organise the words for learners? Do you brainstorm them together ahead of time?
ReplyDeleteHi Mrs Williams. It's Sonnie and Tiana from Room 7 here. Thanks for the comment. The answer to your question is we have a box filled with items inside and then we made padlets about each of them. After we made the padlets we made our poems on note.ly.
DeleteWhat a creative way of visually organising your poems to share with your buddy class in Hamilton. I wonder if there is a way of recording yourself reading your poems to make them even more creative and interactive? Keep sharing your cool learning Room 7. Ka wani kē koutou!
ReplyDeleteHi Mr Fourie. Thank you for commenting on our blog. It is a good idea to record ourselves with our poems and we could do that on screencastify and then publish them on our individual blogs. From Vilar and Tyran.
DeleteI REALLY like the get writing programme...especially as the sponsors usually send some nice pens for the teachers! You have collaborated and constructed some wonderful pieces of writing...do you think you could put some google drawings to compliment them together as an illustration? or how about a short animation?
ReplyDeleteHello Mrs Collins. Thank you for commenting on our class blog. It is a great idea to create a google drawing or a short animation. We will look at doing this in future. We hope you enjoyed reading our class blog post. From Talisa and Shylah.
DeleteHi Talisa and Shylah. Thank you for sharing your learning - you are such smart learners! I'm looking forward to seeing your google drawing or animation (or both) in the future... Keep up the great work. You are helping others and yourself in blogging about your Learning, Creating and Sharing journey.
